Great Movies – Great Events

The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival wrapped up this week and from all reports it was a great success.  Special guest stars and honorees included Ann-Margret (Lifetime Achievement Award), Lea Thompson in Back to the Future mode (Career Achievement Award), Ed Asner (Lifetime Achievement Award), Aphrodite Jones (at a special screening of Boys Don’t Cry, which was adapted from her novel), Finola Hughes, Jeremy Workman, Norry Niven, Mike Glier, Lou Pappas, Irwin Levenstein, David Frankel, Arionel Vargas, Tab Hunter (Lifetime Achievement Award), Ian Harvie, Jeremy Leven, Annie O’Neil, and many others.

Attendees came from around the world and the Bahamas and a great Silent Auction on-line event Entre Nous, had great prizes. All in all a great time and learning experience for all.

A special shout out to Alyn Darnay, writer and director of KRISSY BELLE.
