A Most Violent Year – Jessica Chastain really worked hard last year.
Enemy – A Direct TV movie? Not: Ran in theaters for nine weeks.
Locke – Different, riveting, experimental.
Obvious Child – Better than you think. In fact, good.
Under the Skin – Nominated by GIFP, a different take on alien love.
The Rover – Is it Mad Max meets… ?

Dreamworks Animation:
How to Train Your Dragon 2 – Original sequels are hard…

SONY Pictures:  
Fury – That makes it three wartime movies up for consideration, including American Sniper from Warner and Unbroken from Universal.

Roadside Attractions:  

The Homesman
A Most Wanted Man – Philip Seymour Hoffman’s last movie before Mockingjay.
Mommy (also nominated for an Independent Spirit Award – Best Foreign Film)
Dear White People – Good Indie cred with multiple noms from that field.
